The only organization dedicated solely to helping state boards advance equity and excellence in public education.

State Projects

Many states initiate model programs through their involvement in key projects developed by NASBE and funded through external sources. States that participate in the projects benefit from technical assistance using the latest research, the development of model policies and programs, the in-depth analysis of education issues, and the increased influence and visibility of the state board in the education community.

NASBE has been able to assist as many as twenty states in procuring grants through projects and partnerships in which NASBE is involved, including school leadership, early childhood, adolescent literacy, high school redesign, HIV prevention, school nutrition and teacher induction.
