The only organization dedicated solely to helping state boards advance equity and excellence in public education.

Under the leadership of NASBE Board Chair Sarah Moore, the NASBE Board of Directors is committed to increasing state participation in NASBE committees. NASBE members are invited to join the Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC) and the Public Education Positions Committee (PEP). Every NASBE state is entitled to one member on each of these committees (although more are welcome to listen and learn with the committees). We’d love to have all NASBE member states represented on these two important committees, so please consider serving and contact NASBE’s Abby Potts with interest. These committees play a prominent role in determining NASBE’s perspective on government proposals and policies and on NASBE’s positions on various education issues. They benefit from the full range of state perspectives and voices.
