New Member Institute 2026

Mark your calendars! NASBE’s in-person New Member Institute—one of our most popular professional learning offerings—will take place July 7-8, 2026, with travel on July 6, in Washington, DC, just ahead of the Education Commission of the States National Forum later that week.

As a benefit of NASBE membership, each member state may receive financial assistance for up to two newly appointed or elected state board members, though more are welcome to join. State board chairs (or board executive/administrative staff) can designate their new member attendees here. If you have any questions about this event, please feel free to contact Paolo DeMaria or refer to our FAQ below.
