Join us March 22-23, 2021, for NASBE’s Virtual Legislative Conference 2021. The program is in development, but sessions will be held between 1 pm ET and 6 pm ET.
While we miss seeing you in person, we are delighted to offer you this stimulating virtual conference experience. Spring marks one year of hard work, ingenuity, and unprecedented commitment of education leaders to keep students learning during the pandemic. Join us as we reflect on lessons learned and chart a path toward recovery that builds our education system back better than before. With a new administration in Washington, DC, NASBE’s virtual legislative conference will connect state board members to the leaders who will shape federal education policy: members of Congress, the Biden administration and senior officials at the U.S. Department of Education, and other prominent national education leaders.
As an attendee, you will have these opportunities:
- Explore education priorities of the Biden administration and Congress and the pivotal role of state boards in applying federal initiatives to state policymaking.
- Learn from peers in states with common challenges and share your state’s promising practices.
- Strengthen your advocacy skills and meet with members of Congress and senior administration officials to share your state’s story and the vital role state boards play in ensuring equity and excellence in education.
- Analyze research, evidence, and policy solutions to some of public education’s most pressing challenges.
We look forward, as always, to your enthusiastic participation in this conference, as you engage in sessions designed for you and as you collaborate with peers from state boards across the country!
Note: If you are a NASBE member and want to use PDA funds to cover registration, please contact Sharon Cannon for special instructions.
