How Teachers are Implementing College- and Career-Ready Standards: Lessons for State Boards

Teachers play the primary, pivotal role in translating college- and career-ready learning standards into practice. The Center on Standards, Alignment, Instruction, and Learning (C-SAIL) has published a new three-state study that highlights first-hand accounts from teachers, including challenges they face in implementing standards and resources they find most helpful in addressing those challenges and helping students succeed.

Join NASBE on February 21, 2018, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm (EST) for a webinar with Laura Desimone and Adam Edgerton from the University of Pennsylvania, who will present takeaways from C-SAIL’s research. Nelson Flores, also from the University of Pennsylvania, will provide key insights into the unique experiences of teachers of English learners. Donna Johnson, executive director of the Delaware State Board of Education, will discuss how state boards can leverage these findings to support implementation of rigorous standards in their states.
