As states prepare to revamp their high school accountability systems under ESSA, what kinds of measures should be considered in order to ensure all students are receiving a high quality public education and prepared for postsecondary success. And, how can states report it in accessible, transparent ways?

Join NASBE for a webinar on December 15, from noon to 1:00 pm (EDT) as we talk with Achieve’s Marie O’Hara and Elliott Asp, and the Fordham Institute’s Mike Petrilli about the opportunities under ESSA for states to overhaul their high school accountability systems in ways that can paint a more accurate picture of college and career readiness across high school students, considers the needs of high-achieving students in addition to struggling students, and incentivizes schools and districts to focus on those goals. We’ll also learn about new polling data from Jim Cowen of the Collaborative for Student Success around ESSA and accountability and the implications for ensuring equity in education.
