Early Childhood Education Network
To help states advance their early learning systems, the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) has been awarded a grant by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to expand to six new states its successful Early Childhood Education Network, a project to ensure that all children start school ready to learn. As part of this effort, NASBE has compiled a wide variety of resources on this CD-ROM to help states address issues of how to build a coherent, high-quality early learning system.
We hope that these resources will serve as valuable tools for state teams in designing and implementing effective strategies that will provide high-quality learning environments to young children. NASBE appreciates the commitment of the Network states in responding to the needs of young children and their families by maximizing the benefits of early childhood education.
