NASBE recently developed a new publication type, the discussion guide, for board members to engage in a policy discussion around various issues in education. These discussion guides provide the latest research on particular topics, elements of effective practice, state-level example of policy action as well as guiding questions and insights for addressing the issue through policy.

Our journal, The State Education Standard, written by subject-matter experts, provides cover-to-cover insight into select education policy issues of the day.

NASBE provides a collection of policy updates to keep our members up-to-date with the latest policy information in education.

NASBE’s Study Groups and staff produce original reports that address single topics through in-depth research, and provide state and local leaders with recommendations for action.
