2011 Annual Conference

2011 Annual Conference

Atlanta, Georgia • October 13–15, 2011

This year, the NASBE Annual Conference in Atlanta will highlight an array of the best and brightest educational ideas from around the globe. Don’t miss this opportunity to take the world’s most innovative ideas back to the classrooms in your state.

Dear Colleague:

How can State Boards of Education help our students be competitive in an ever-increasing environment of global change? Our 2011 conference, “Lessons in Learning: An International Perspective” will concentrate on what our country is doing well and give us the best ideas from other countries on improving student achievement. You are cordially invited to join us in Atlanta to hear Andreas Schleicher from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, David Green from the Center for Evidence-Based Education and a host of other exciting speakers from Embassies from around the globe and our nation. Atlanta is beautiful in the fall and has so many interesting places to visit before or after theconference: the new Georgia Aquarium, the Atlanta History Center, the Carter Museum, and, of course, the Martin Luther King National Historic Site. If you’re looking for a global perspective on education, join us in Atlanta in October! See below for more information.
