Florida’s High School Graduation Rate Continues to Climb
Florida’s graduation rate reached its highest point ever last year at 75.4 percent, according to recent results released by the Florida Department of Education. This rate exceeds the previous year’s rate by three percentage points and represents an overall improvement of 15.2 percentage points since the 1998-99 school year.

Principal Douglas Rodriguez of Ronald Reagan/Doral Senior High, was honored with the 6th Annual Leonard Miller Principal Leadership Award, bestowed by the Council for Educational Change.
Matt Susin, history teacher at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School in Brevard County received The Warren Tracy Beginning Teacher Award at the recent Florida Council for Social Studies (FCSS) state conference.
