Responsible for policy research conducted at NASBE. Dr. Haynes serves as a senior researcher on The Wallace Foundation Education Leadership Project, which focuses on strengthening the standards, the training and the performance of education leaders. Project activities include in-depth examinations of states' governance structures, accountability systems, educational policies and programs and state performance measures. In addition, Dr. Haynes directs two projects: the Early Childhood Education Network, designed to help states develop coherent, high-quality early education systems for children with and without disabilities; and the State Adolescent Literacy Network, crafted to guide states in developing comprehensive state literacy initiatives within the context of core academic subjects and as part of the states' overall school improvement initiatives. |
