Annual Legislative Conference |

The annual Legislative Conference offers state board members, state executives, and other state department staff the chance to hear from Congressional leaders and other prominent Washingtonians about current federal activities and concerns in education. Participants also schedule “Hill visits” to meet personally with their Congressional delegates. Following their personal visits, NASBE staff debriefs with meeting participants and further refines strategies for impacting federal legislation so that it is better integrated with ongoing state initiatives. In 2007, this valuable conference will convene March 15-16.
