Topical meetings, held in different geographical locations around the country, permit members to join in an in-depth discussion of a specific issue that is important to state education leaders. Talented experts on specific issues are invited to provide the latest information and stimulate a discussion among NASBE members, many of whom are also excellent resources on the issues. Past topical meetings addressed standards and assessments, technology, interagency collaboration, childhood obesity, among others.
