Many states form model programs through their involvement in key projects developed by NASBE and funded through external sources. States that participate in the projects benefit from technical assistance using the latest research, the development of model policies and programs, the in-depth analysis of educational issues, and the increased influence and visibility of the state board in the education community. Grants to state education agencies may be available to support state efforts.
